"I was delighted to be asked to judge the GC of America's EasternSpeciality at the New Bolton Veterinarian Center near Philadelphia. The entry of 138 was fantastic and it gave me the opportunity to select some top quality greyhounds as my winners.

"BOB was Sheryl Bartel and Steve E Johnston's Ch Helios Rain or Shine at Heart,
w/r/br with lovely clean flowing lines, nice arched neck set into well laid shoulders, good
depth of chest, very good spring of rib, powerful loin, well angulated hindquarters, nice
low set hocks. Shown on a loose lead, so moved so fluently. A really lovely dog. He is
so balanced, would love to take him home!

"BOS, Scot Thomson and Ashley Giles' Ch Brasspur My Blue Heaven,
bl/br feminine bitch in the best of condition. Lovely head, very good reach of neck, well
laid shoulders, good angulation, just the right amount of length of loin, super second thigh, looked really lovely on the move, has such elegance and style.

"Best of Winners, Sheryl Bartel and Steve E Johnston's Ch Wenonah Corneille,
black bitch with a coat that shone with condition. For one so young she had a balance that you expect with a more mature bitch. The very best of shoulders, good legs and feet, held her topline well on the move which was very free and long striding. Would love to see her again in a year when I'm sure she will be even more beautiful.

"Winners Dog, Lois Bires' Andarab Night and Day, w/b,
lovely head, dark eyes, long elegant neck, very well angulated shoulders, good depth ofchest, good topline held well on the move, long free stride, very sound front and rear, well handled with great care. I had the pleasure to judge some very lovely dogs.

Awards Of Merit
"It was so very hard to choose just five for an award of merit. Lois Bires
Ch A Magic Raven
, black dog with all the power, grace and ring presence of a true champion. Moved with free flowing stride I just loved. Good head, lovely dark eyes, good reach of neck, well ribbed, super back end.

"Gerie Ann Hendrick's Ch Gerico's Chasing the Wind, white dog at seven not showing
his age at all, a big strong dog who shows with confidence, he knows how handsome he is. Conformation hard to fault, moved beautifully with grace and power.

"Eleanor Creech and Lynne Shanzle's Ch Wenonah Levanto, brindle dog a little smaller
but very well made. Nice head, neck with good reach, well sprung ribcage, well arched loin, good hard condition, moved well front and rear.

"Dana K Olson's Ch Jenz Constant Craving, silver/br big strong dog in the very best of condition with the best of necks, super front, very good shoulders and the right amount of length of loin. Well angulated hindquarters, moved with drive. Nice dog.

"Dana K Olson's Ch Jently Does It with Buebezi, bl/f, has improved out of all recognitionsince I last saw her in England. Her front has improved and she has nicely come up on her toes with much strengthened pasterns. In the very best of condition, moved well, a credit to her owner."
